Growing up in a small Michigan town, I always knew that one day I would have to get out of there. This all became relevant to me when I went with a friend to visit his family in a small town called McKee Kentucky. At the time of this visit I knew that I wanted to be out of Michigan, but coming here I knew that this was the place I wanted to be. I thought that I loved the ocean but Kentucky had the most beautiful rolling hills and mountains. Unfortunately, for me 19 years old with no stable job, this was not in the books for financially. So, wanderlust on high, I dragged myself back to Michigan and began to work hard on myself.
Over the next six years I fell in love with the world of aviation and worked hard at progressing my career. I started off with United Airlines biding my time and working my way up through the company. During this time I did leave to become a vet tech but quickly learned that it was not what I wanted and went back to Aviation. Shortly after this I tried to leave again, this time to a marketing company. I quickly learned that this was not for me either because I such at sales, and when the company went under, you guessed it, I went back to aviation. But this time General Aviation. This is all private planes. I instantly knew this is where I belonged. With this knowledge and my love for Aviation constantly growing I started school, where I decided I would go for my BA in Aviation Management.
In the next post I will continue my brief introduction on how I got to where I am today. Stay tuned because I promise, It gets crazy.
Above is the reason I really love aviation. Seeing all of the old Military aircraft would brighten my days even when everything else was dragging me down.
